Summary
The article examines one of the topical issues of property law in practice, namely, the determination of the divided use of jointly owned real estate between co-owners and corroboration thereof in Land Register. The article briefly explores the historical development of the legal regulation of divided use in Latvia from the second half of the 19th century to the present day, with particular attention to the influence of Soviet civil law on the current prevailing opinion on the issue of determining the divided use of jointly owned real estate between co-owners and corroboration thereof in Land Register, as well as to the question of the manner in which such divided use should be corroborated in the Land Register.
