The Function of Legal Syllogism in Forming the Reasoning of Court Rulings

Summary
In the discourse of the theory of law, there are several different kinds of legal syllogisms. The aim of this paper is to discover the functions of these different legal syllogisms and determine which functions are useful in forming the reasoning of court rulings. The author discovered thirteen different functions, but only eleven of them are relevant in forming court rulings that can be sufficiently justified.
